
June 20th is World Refugee Day.
Setagaya Intercultural Center, with the support of the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR), will once again host a screening of a documentary film to deepen understanding of refugee issues.
The film is highly recommended for music fans. By watching this movie, you can help support refugees by gaining a deeper understanding of their experiences. We invite you to come and watch the film at the venue.
A lecture by a UNHCR representative and a speech by a graduate student from Ukraine are also scheduled for the day.

What is the Refugee Film Festival Partners Screening?
The Japan Association for UNHCR holds the “Refugee Film Festival” every year to raise awareness about refugee issues through films.
Since 2022, Setagaya City has participated in UNHCR’s global campaign, the “Municipal Solidarity Campaign for Refugees” (Learn more here).
Starting in 2023, the city has been organizing “Refugee Film Festival Partners Screenings” within Setagaya, continuing its efforts to promote awareness and support for refugees through documentary films.
